Pain is a vital sign that when under assessed or treated can impact a person’s occupational engagement and quality of life. Occupational therapy practitioners need to understand how pain impacts daily routines, habits, and occupational success. This course will provide practitioners with a review of pain; it’s physiological manifestations and the various types of pain that an adult patient may experience. The course will review both assessment and treatment of pain symptoms that can be implemented within an occupational therapy evaluation and plan of care.
