The Michigan Occupational Therapy Association's 4th Annual 5K Walk, Run or Roll's purpose is to promote awareness of Occupational Therapy for the profession and consumers of our services within the state of Michigan.

This year the event is hybrid. Runners can choose to complete their run virtually or in person on Friday, October 1 in Kalamazoo (during conference). Participation is open to conference attendees and those supporting occupational therapy. Registration must be completed online at https://runsignup.com/Race/MI/Lansing/MiOTA5k. No registrations will be handled in person the day of the event.

What's a virtual event? A virtual race is a race that can be completed from any location you choose. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. Most participants will use apps on their cellular device to measure distance and time. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to ask! Just email the race director, Sarah (see button below).

Cost of the run is $20 plus $2.50 processing fee. Participants will receive a reduced processing fee when registering multiple participants in one transaction. ALL PROFITS from the event will go to MiOTA for advocacy of occupational therapy providers/patients as well as Michigan Special Olympics.

This year, each participant will receive a custom MiOTA shoe laces. Pins from last year's event are also available for purchase.

Awards will be given to the top finishers who run, walk or use a wheelchair. Winners will be announced during MiOTA's fall virtual conference held Sept 29 - October 2, 2021.

COLLEGE CHALLENGE: award will be given to the occupational therapy program (OTR & OTA) with the most student/alumni/faculty participants. Last year, Grand Valley State University took home the award!
