The LGBTQIA+ Compass Series is a guided adventure of the queer landscape - candid and intimate conversations about the LGBTQIA+ community. It is for folx within the LGBTQIA+ community as well as for those who identify as parents and/or allies who are seeking greater understanding of their children, family, friends, clients, patients, employees or students. This session includes mindfulness practice, creative learning exercises, a didactic section to define the letters of the LGBTQIA+ acronym, and small group conversations about various queer topics pertinent to current social and political issues that impact healthcare, education, and personal development. This session will also address the implicit bias that impacts the LGBTQIA+ community.
